My uPVC patio door won’t lock — do I need a new door?
Almost never. 9 times out of 10 it’s a failed multipoint gearbox — the metal mechanism inside the door edge with the hooks and rollers. They wear out after 10-15 years. Replacement gearbox + 30 minutes = problem solved. Costs a fraction of a new door.
Can you repair a dropped bi-fold door?
Yes. Bi-folds drop because the top track hangers settle or the mid-rail bearing wears. Both fixable on site without taking the door off — usually under an hour.
Do you cover Hythe, Totton and the Waterside for patio doors?
